Our Process

We draw on our surroundings and the nature around us. It would be impossible not to be influenced by it. It's this inspiration that helps us to keep creating quality supplements that our customers can be proud of.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy encompasses the marriage of nature with science, drawing on the knowledge and experience of traditional European herbal medicine, guided by the latest research and scientific knowledge, and produced with modern and efficient methods.

Our Commitment

We pursue our work with passion and dedication, with a vision for the future of a healthy life in an intact, natural environment. On the way to becoming a zero-emission company, our facility is powered by 100% renewable resources with electricity generated from hydroelectric power plants in the Swiss Alps. We leverage sustainability wherever possible, from our process to our products. We’re too small to change the world, but that doesn’t stop us from doing our best.

Our Actions

Even though they may harbour powerful forces, medicinal herbs are still only tender little plants. They need to be harvested with the greatest of care, and extreme caution must be taken in all subsequent steps of the preparatory process in order to conserve the precious compounds. At Dr.Dünner, the traditional knowledge of picking, drying and storage goes hand in hand with state-of-the-art technology and laboratory techniques.

  • Process Harvest

We maintain strong partnerships with local farmers to harvest a variety of herbs of the finest quality from the heart of Switzerland. These farmers have the best knowledge about each  microclimate in Switzerland, and when the best time is to harvest different herbs.

  • 2 Drying

The herbs are delicately placed and dried in small batches. Our specialists monitor the process depending on the herb, or which part of the herb, being used.

  • 3 Extraction

Similar to how you make your tea, we make our liquid supplements. Every kind of extraction is different considering different herbs, different herb parts, water temperature, concentration, and time. Our herbalists account for every variable in order to draw out the specific properties of the plants and herbs that are beneficial to your health.

  • 4 Tasting

Most herbs have a bitter taste. It’s part of their nature. We always try to create a balance between useful ingredients and a taste that you can enjoy. Rather than sourcing cheap synthetic juices, we add the juice of Swiss Baselbiet cherries, whose high stems create a sanctuary for birds that nest further from the ground.

  • 5 Packaging

All of our packaging is FSC-certified, ensuring that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.
